uPlan
uPlan is a subcommittee of the Youth Planning Table for the City of Maple Ridge. Jessica has used the platform to get active within her community. She runs the social media account while focusing on creating events to get youth involved.
Katie’s Place Animal Shelter
Jessica has been volunteering at Katie’s Place since May of 2020. She is dedicated to the shelter because it is one of the only no kill shelters in BC. She overcame various hardships volunteering during the height of the pandemic. Solidifying her ambition and passion as an animal lover.
Krispy Kreme Fundraiser
Jessica took advantage of the Krispy Kreme Fundraiser Program, hosting an event for the Make a Wish Foundation. She organized sales, picked up, and delivered baked goods to customers. She worked hard raising over 400 hundred dollars for the charity.
BCIT Campus Info Session
The Radio Arts and Entertainment program has been a life changing experience for Jessica. She wanted to give back to the community by participating in one of the biggest info night for BCIT. She helped many potential students by sharing information with booth.
